While we look for skills and talents like everyone else, we're also interested in what the writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery wrote, "If you want to build a ship, don't drum up the men to gather the wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea."

Except for the fact that we're also looking for women to build our ship, not just men, we want a team that understands what web designers need and want, for themselves and their clients. The perfect list of functionality or support protocols is never enough.

Open Positions

By summer 2007, we expect to fill these positions:

Senior Developer

We're looking for a senior programmer with significant database and systems architecture experience to establish our technical vision and lead all aspects of our company's technology development. This position is the top technology role and will play an integral part in deciding our strategic direction, development, and future growth. You also will provide visible leadership for the company within the technology community.

Initially, this is a hands on programming role (PHP5/MySQL/AJAX) as well as a technology strategy role. Eventually you will help build and manage a small top-flight technology team and oversee research and development. This position is a terrific ground floor opportunity to be involved with a product that has real customers for a company with a flat management structure.

Candidate should have significant corporate and academic IT experience. We currently can pay a monthly stipend and negotiate the number of hours work to be funded. We expect this will become a full time salaried position. Work can be done remotely.

Support Wrangler

We're looking for a support person to help web designers use Red Wrangler to help improve their client's internet marketing efforts. Our support wranglers are the key role within the company. They provide front line support and let us know what functionality is truly needed in future versions of Red Wrangler.

The ideal candidate should have significant support experience working with customers and providing materials that help the support process. Ideally, we're looking to hire a corporate web designer on the Mommy or Daddy track for a few years, someone who wants to work from home, mostly set their own hours, and keep current with the latest web design trends by working hands on to help other web designers. We currently can pay a monthly stipend and negotiate the number of hours work to be funded. We expect this will become a full time salaried position. Work can be done remotely.
